  23. the modem once, it would not work again without restarting Windows.
  24. 2.  Windows for Workgroups crashes
  25. 3.  Mouse dissappears

  28. So far, things are getting better.
  29. 1.  The disk was drivespaced.   Page 58 of the Sportster Quick reference 
  30. manual said to put in an EMMEXCLUDE = C800-D1FF if doublespace was being 
  31. used.  
  32. 2.  My machine already had a COM1 and COM2. The internal modem was on 
  33. COM3 which shared IRQ4 with COM1 the mouse.  A posting from U.S. Robotics 
  34. on Wincim's ModemV forum said that the Sportster cannot share IRQ's.  So 
  35. changing to IRQ 5 helped.
  36. 3.  I got a new modem script file for USRALL either from the Compuserve 
  37. forum or USR's BBS.  847-982-5092

  39. HOWEVER, the AT&T Worldnet autodialer software hangs up the machine if 
  40. Sportster 28.8 is selected.  I've found that choosing Hayes compatible 
  41. 14.4k works.

  43. However, my AT&T WorldNet autodialer hangs up the machine.
